A talk by Adrian State on the Owl project

This talk is organised by the Burford Environmental Action Group (Beagles).

The owl project was set up in the 1980s when barn owl numbers were at an all time low.  This was due to a number of reasons, one of which was the shortage of nest sites, due to barns being redeveloped.
A program of installing nest boxes and monitoring and ringing the juveniles was started.  This has been a success story with a huge increase in their numbers since.
