About the Author:

Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion, has represented Brighton Pavilion in Parliament for 14 years, and been named as Parliamentarian of the year 3 times since first being elected in 2010. She is standing down as an MP at the next general election, but is deeply involved in the Green Party’s campaign to get more Green MPs elected to Parliament this year, and will remain one of our clearest voices on the climate and nature emergencies. Caroline served as leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from 2008 to 2012, and co-leader from 2016 to 2018. She holds a PhD in English literature. Find her on X @CarolineLucas
