Kieran Stiles Art workshop – Fred Ingrams Acrylic

Explore the geometric ‘colour field’ paintings of Fred Ingrams and how his work links with artists Richard Diebenkorn, Nicholas De Stael and Joan Eardley.

During the workshop we will be working with acrylic on hardboard, looking at different ways of translating the naturalistic colours of the landscape in a vibrant way, creating exciting juxtapositions of colour.

There will also be tips on how to abstraxt and simplify the forms of the landscape to capture the essence rather than interpret fine detail.

All materials provided apart from a sketchbook or A4 cartridge paper for notes and preparatory sketches.
